Just got this from Leather Z for my 3.0 Sport.

Looks good fitted and doesn’t interfere with my arm during gear changes. Not sure it’s for me long-term but I’m going to give it a try.

One minor problem is that I’ve only been able to screw it down to one of the screw holes left after the ashtray is removed. The instructions suggest there should be another screw hole at the other (rear) end of the oddments tray. There isn’t and I’m reluctant to create a new screw hole in case I decide to revert to original.

Anyone got any experience of overcoming this (admittedly minor) problem they’re willing to share?

I used a self tapper - as like you I didn't find the 2nd hole. That said I will never remove mine - it's just so comfy to have installed & the cup holder is an added bonus that I also cannot do without!

Thanks. Glad to know I wasn’t being completely stupid and missing the second screw hole! The more I look at the armrest, the more comfortable I am that I’ll keep it, so might well use a self tapper.

Just out of interest - what is the internal diameter of the cup holder in these? I've been looking for something for my coupe ..

It has two diameters as there’s a lip inside that reduces the diameter just over half way down:

Top aperture diameter is 69mm

Total depth of the cup holder is 55mm

Lip is 20mm from the base / 35mm from the top

Diameter at lip (and at the base) is 60mm

Essentially, the upper part looks like it will seat a standard can and the lower part will seat a standard beer bottle.

Bah. As I suspected - won't fit my coffee cup!

I actually used some industrial strength double sided tape to further secure mine. Been there for two years. Quality item.

Same with their armrest for the E85 Z4. Double sided tape and it does not move.

Very nice looking armrest, but isn't it really for left-hand cars?

Mine is set up for RHD (with the cut out on the right for the handbrake).
How? The cover is attached to the back, and I don't see how it can be turned around for RHD. Am I missing something, like you can order it for RHD?

I really doubt the E85 Z4 one would fit on any Z3?

For completeness, here’s the armrest In position. I’ve used double sided tape to fix it rather than screws and it seems to work well. The armrest seems a good addition to me.
