How do I soften the leather to make it pliable enough to push it back into shape and what adhesive is best to stick it down again?
Watching this as I have the same issue.
This is a major problem with Australian Zeds..... mine has had this issue and so has my fathers
My black Zed has this issue too
It's a dash out job and then remove the pods. You then need to heat it up with a hair dryer or heat gun and try to stretch it back in place and fix with some contact adhesive. The speedo pod was too far gone on mine so I replaced it, I fixed the rest but it's started to shrink again. I have some red ones to replace them but they also need repairing. You can get replacement covers, @bertiejaffa did his but it's not a quick or easy job to do. Either repairing or replacing its a dash out job to do it properly.

DIY is a doddle compared to repairing shrunken leather on a Z3 dash. I've only ever seen a couple of people take it on and thinking about it I've not seen them sinceUpset! I'm distraught

The leather has dried out over years and it looks like its beyond repair, you may as well try a leather conditioner but you will need to aplly it to the underside as the topside is non permiable, I would keep applying over a number of days, you will need to bend and massage the leather to try and soften it.

I’m sure someone managed to do it on here. For £50 I would have a crack at it, I would do a mock fit with double sided tape to see how it would fit before attempting to glue it.
