leather treatment

hello all,

i thought i would let you all into a secret.

i had my leather seat bolsters recently recoloured.

the guy who performed this has been working on leather for 25 years.

the finish was excellent, colour matched perfectly.

i also asked him how leather should be cleaned and treated.

he told me to use a solution of liquid dove soap and water to clean.

then apply a thick coat of e45 cream (cream not lotion)

and leave on for a while and go over the area with a micro fibre cloth.

i tried this today on both my car seats, my sofa and recliner chairs.

the leather is so much smoother and supple.

it really is that good.

i wont use anything else now at all.

It ruins your clothes though !

only joking. Pure soap flakes are one of the best cleaning products for getting general dirt out of natural products (works just as well on leather sofas ;-)
