leak detection pump location 2001

If any one knows where the leak detection pump is located on a 2001 Z3 roadster this newby needs to know.

@dmack49 Don't know what size engine you have and do you mean the smog kit?

Not sure what a leak detection pump is if I'm honest. There's an auxiliary air pump (known colloquially as the "Smog pump" in the USA) . If that's what you're looking for it depends on which engine is fitted in your car 4 or 6 cylinder?. You can remove it depending on where you live, I believe in California they're still required.

Thanks Hard top, The leak detection pump has to do with the fuel evap system. With the roadster sitting so low and the fact that BMW put these in several different places in their 3 series cars. I was hoping to only set the jack stands one time to get to it.
