Hello everyone,
I am looking to sell my beloved z3 now as I am now living in London and can't justify hanging on it here.
Overall, it is very mechanically sound and I have done extensive work to it, to bring it up to
a good standard.
I will cover the main points;
June 98 built M52. One of the last pre facelift.
104k Miles
3.15 LSD
Harmon Kardon
Heated seats & OBC
Maintenance work I have done in the last 3 months:
Engine, Gbox Oil. OEM Air filter
New Front control arms and powerflex bushes
New Track control arms
New brembo discs and pads all round
new style 78 anthracite with all new Kumho tyres
Complete cooling overhaul: tstat& housing, metal water pump, viscous fan clutch, tank, pulleys and belts
new OEM floor carpets
new rear window
'Mods'
New Magnaflow SS catback (~£650)
Weichers Strut brace
£200+ continental radio with DAB and bluetooth
M50 Manifold with BBTB (proper bespoke fitting kit, not B&Q bits)
Seat tilt mod
It drives extremely well and sounds fantastic
It has fabric seat covers, covering black&tan leather, I have not removed the covers as I genuinely
prefer the cloth seats (less slippery or sticky than leather)
The toolkit and spare wheel is all accounted for.
The paintwork is fair, a couple age related marks. I did a hand polish but It would benefit from a DA Polish
to clear micro swirls and scratches to a excellent standard. Unfortunately I don't have access to one any more.
The roof, I fitted a new rear window in the first week of ownership, the roof 1. does not leak, 2. does not
have any holes! However it aesthetically is showing its age. Although I have cleaned and waterproofed it.
I do not have full service history, Only really I have kept everything from work I've done, but I know these engines well, and Its genuinely seems excellent. I did a 2.2k miles euro roadtrip. anything that could have gone
wrong would have, and its all been addressed with the above work, to make a solid, future proof z3 that should
only require routine servicing for a long time.
I had to do the BBTB & M50 manifold swap, as I had it on my older e36 too, It changes the character of
the engine a lot and makes it, in my opinion a lot more fun to drive. What I have not done is a remap, which
would fully unleash the efficiency of the mod, making ~230bhp. Without remap at the moment I would
estimate it is somewhere between 200-220 bhp.
All the work I do, I am very thorough with it, cleaning up parts and ensuring bolts are correctly torqued, etc.
The car will be supplied with the following:
-Custom fit cover - https://www.amazon.co.uk/Tailored-S...8&qid=1500282317&sr=8-1&keywords=bmw+z3+cover
-Haynes Manual
-Owners book
-Autoglym Soft top cleaner and protector
-Spare Engine Oil & OEM Coolant
-All receipts and manuals for work I have done
I will take some better pictures this week to add, the car is located in Central London around Regents Park
area. Any questions feel free to ask. I am looking for £4250
