What a brill weekend!teatime Thursday got a call from a buddy in ashford he was going trail riding with another friend to France and there was room in the van,8 hours later in kent loaded ready to catch the tunnel. We ended up 40 miles southwest of Claremont ferrand in a lovely gite overlooking the Dordogne. One of the best trips I've ever been on.A very French experience travelled of road all morning through some beautiful country 1.5 hours at least for lunch ride back and finish at 5-5.30 drink beer ,eat all evening, sleep very soundly and repeat.our hosts were brilliant and welcoming ,even made us some baguette to eat on the way home .im still smiling.

Must be great to be able to do this sort of thing at such short notice.
I was very lucky this year as i wouldnt of been able to go if they had asked the previous week .It had all been organised before by a French guy who is a chef in a gentlemans club in London ,it was his home town. We took our own bikes Steve flew into stansted 10,30 tursday night from running BSB test in Almeria and missed a weekend at home with his wife, used up a shed load of points on this! Neil is retired from the Nuclear industry.

I like that "biker's attitude": they are ready in seconds when action it's launched! Congratulations Miller!
and thanks for sharing! All my life I wanned a bike; now I'm too old but still don't give up: I'm prepairing a bike Triumph 1929 since 2000......
with baby steps but progressing each year.......:)

That explains why you were holding your nose in the first picture...... Must have been the smell of Garlic!!

:)
That's my old buddy Neil ,he's a bit of a liability really but we feel sory for him,and he can ride better than a lot of riders half his age,and unfortunately it's not garlic that's the cause of the smell and. Just when you think you've got used to it Steve can subtly alter the effusions at will ,it's a talent of sorts?
