Write Up Lakes & Dales Run 2024

All arrived safely, food, a few scoops and a chat. Day 1 with glorious sun as we set off from the Ulverston PI, roofs down of course. Obligatory pics of Ribble Valley Viaduct

Followed by a great drive to the Wensleydale Ice Cream Parlour. Been loads of times with no issues, however, despite being October, cold and the only people there she gave me and everybody else grief for a) wanting to use the customer toilet and b) for using her stock. Frankly I've not seen such a poor welcome since Germany invaded Poland! Her review won't be good!!!

Back on it to the next stop, the Tann Hill, roof down and sunny. It hammered it down when we got to the Tann Hill so roofs up for the next stage to the Fat Lamb, no welcome issues here! Suitably fed and watered, roofs down in the sun for a great drive back to the PI, day one done.

Day two done A full day of roof down driving was had by all. Overall, a great weekend weather wise with only 1 short stint with roofs up, result for October No breakdowns too, which is nice

Back home now after a great weekend in the Lakes. It was good to see old friends and meet a new one. As said above apart from Saturday afternoon it was roof down all the time, even down the M6 this afternoon.
Huge thanks to Andy for sorting out the weather and the routes and we shared quite a few laughs over a beer or two.
