Hi, Kevin, and welcome to the forum from the other side of the pond and you don't have to give them any more information unless they come to your house with a tow truck. I think you'll like the forum here as everyone is really friendly. There will quite a few members with the same model and year of your Z that will be able to answer most of the questions you might have about your car. If you don't have any questions and just want to hang around, that's fine too as we often get away from car talk and then anything's likely to be the point of discussion. You're always free to join in on it. FrankieHi Shelly, thanks for the contact

Well, here's the story............. Soon after I joined the forum there was a riddle posted. You didn't have to try and guess the answer but if you did, and guessed the incorrect answer, you had to change your avatar to a giraffe for a month. So that's how I started to have a giraffe for my avatar. I got to like it. There were many other members who had to change theirs for a month, but I was the only one who kept mine. I had joined the forum because I had bought a '96 1.9 L Z3. I really couldn't afford to insure it for a long while. New Jersey has the most expensive car insurance rates of any state in the country. (I'm paying over $850. a year and that doesn't include collision). So while I have a lot of experience working on my own cars, since I wasn't using the Z, I didn't do any work on it. I didn't actually have anything to contribute to the mechanics of the Z in particular. After a short while of reading the forum, I began to realize how much 'other' banter there was besides cars. I also saw just how good a sense of humor the boys in the UK had. Between boot racks, sheep and (real) football, (you'll soon see a reaction), I was having the time of my life. I actually couldn't wait to get home from work to see who was busting my b@##s. And it was fun to give it back, but in a good, civil way. I finally couldn't stand it any longer and made a trip over there to meet many of the boys (and girls). Several of them gave me a tour of their area and I even went on a cruise with them (Z cruise). A few of them had the 3.2L ///M. I liked the car so much, I just bought one in San Diego and another forum member from the UK flew over here and helped me drive it back to Atlantic City. (I think he's still paying for his ticket...107mph in a 75, Shamrock Texas) So............I can't tell you what a GREAT forum this is. Stick around for just the fun, if not for anything else. FrankieThanks Frankie, We have a 7 foot metal giraffe in our garden named Jemima
