I'm sure we all look after our wheels and go to the extra effort of making sure they stay nice and smooth.
I always leave a good foot gap between wheels and kerb even though it's easy to stick your head out of the side to see where it is.
So as you could imagine this has me furious...

If your thinking it doesn't look like it's been kerbed it's because this was done by the garage fitting the tyres...

Yes me too always tell them before they start ... No damage on wheels so if there is any after the tyres are fitted you will be fixing them

Yeah would agree if we scratch a wheel fitting tyres we are liable.
When did you notice it were you still there or was it later on

My s***'s custom!
I've just had Hi Q pay for refurb after doing that. Had 2 tyres fitted on my daily car and said beforehand that if they damage one they'd have to have all four done due the the colour being one off and imposs to match. They honoured it after chipping one. I insisted it was done at the place if just had them done and it cost them twice what I paid for the tyres....

They should be paying..... But a lesson learned... Tell them before and if they are covered in soap take cloth and wipe it off... BMW did it to all4 wheels on my M135i, if I was not putting it in px they were replacing the wheels as it was only 1 month old

If the lads at our place leave excess soap or rim sealer on a wheel they wash it off before refitting the wheel to the car. Sad to see your wheel is damaged Dave, make them put it right.

As expected denied the damage.
I guess I will try a black touch up pen but they're 2 month old so may have to get it done again

Did you threaten to leave them a bad review? Usually works.

Email the boss of the company with a formal complaint outlining the work they did, how they left the wheel covered in glue, which added to the delay in you spotting the damage etc.

It's just a fella with a garage. Used his dads garage for years and now he's taken it over. No chain.
Not much I can do tbf.
