I have been looking around for a K&N induction kit for my 2000 2.0. Very confusing on eBay several different part numbers listed on listings as being for my car but when you put detail on the look-up it states will not fit this model. Why would one for a 2.0 be different from one for a 2.2? Also prices vary wildly too even for the same item from different sellers, I had a brainwave the other night and looked on EoroCarParts website which said they can supply them and as we deal with them through work I rang Lincoln branch on Saturday and was quoted £108 inc vat. I can get the same one off the bay for £20 less. BUT the big question is . . . which one fits my bloody car. Does any one out there know please?

The only difference tends to be the diameter of the fitting on the MAF unit as far as I know. Also if they come with a heat shield they will be a slightly different shape depending on the engine.

That's about all I know on the subject.

I bought a £30 generic induction kit off eBay for an E46 and that fitted just fine on my 2.0.

That's interesting Gary, I don't suppose you might have a picture of it?

You want to try a find one that fits the e89...BAH!!, I gave up in the end....:sour:

I measured the snout on the airflow meter at 80mm dia. and have found a pipercross induction cone filter for a Honda civic at £19.98 inc postage so I've ordered that. I'm then going to get some alloy plate from a mate to build an air box around it to keep out the hot air. Thanks to all for responses.
