I bought this back in early 2016 just a few months after I bought the Z3, I paid around £95 quid at the time.
Its a K&N 570446 suitable for the M44 engines.
When I tightened the filter down to the supporting bracket the threads sheared which meant the cone filter just sort of sat there unsupported. This incident happened very shortly after I bought it however up until recently I've never paid much attention to it.
I spoke to the guys at K&N as the filter comes with a lifetime warranty and they quite happily sent me a replacement which means this is up for sale.
This particular filter will sit fine with the hose clamp provided but you may want to consider fabricating a bracket to ensure its not putting stress on the inlet hose. Having said that my hose is absolutely fine despite the fact that the filter has not being secured onto a bracket of any kind for a while.
Here is how the filter usually sits:
I've done around 10k miles with the filter fitted and I've just cleaned it and reoiled it ready for the next owner
After £45 posted please.
Any questions please ask
Cheers.
