Just thought i would share a couple of Astro pics with you all.

Rho Ophiuchus Cloud in Scorpio, bottom. and the Eta Carina Nebula, top. Taken with a Nikon Z6 and a William Optics Redcat 51, guided exposures of a total about 30 minutes each. I have to travel to darker skies for these though, too much light pollution around here...

Thankyou...I used a skywatcher star adventurer tracking mount, a William Optics Redcat 51 and a Nikon Z6 for imaging.. Like this... . The area of sky shown in those images, is roughly half a business card at arms length for the first, and a full business card for the second, very roughly.. And try as I might, I can not fit all that s*** in the Z... .... So I have to take the offroad rig...

I’m working away in Orkney at the moment and was hoping to see some good skies but so far no better skies than what I see from my hamlet outside of Banbury. It will p*** the other half off of I am fortunate to see the azures up here though.

I feel you pain, those pictures I drove two hours to get there, no moon and clear skies according to the bureau of meteorites .. But bush fires were not a part of the forecast.. and yes I had to stick to short exposures of 30 seconds or less and stack em...

Thanks Shelly, yes it,s an interesting hobby. you never know what your going to get sometimes, because you cant really see it in any one exposure...

Also fits in with our second interest, bird spotting. However we take our own birds with us every place we go to avoid disappointment.
