I was reading my e-mails and saw one from @miller1098 . He posted pictures of a new tire he installed on his cycle. I posted a reply to him and I thought I might as well copy and post it here as some of you might be able to relate to it. Here it is.............................Frankie
Many years ago, I put a new tire on my motorcycle. I'd drive the cycle right through the winter. When I replaced the tire, it was winter time. I had taken the wheel off the bike and brought it inside. I spread a protective cloth on the living room floor and put the wheel on top of it. I used a set of tire irons to take the old tire off. I set to work taking the tire off and busted my tail getting it off. I was actually covered in sweat by the time I got the tire off the rim. It wasn't much easier getting the new tire on the rim. When I finished it and inflated it, I stood it up to view the finished product. I had gotten the new tire on and it looked just fine!!! I would have had to spend money I didn't really have if I had brought it to the cycle shop to have them do it. I felt insufferably pleased with myself. I looked along the sidewall of the tire to see what the proper inflation pressure should be. While doing so, I noticed an arrow on the sidewall along with the words: "Direction of Rotation". You can guess the rest of the story..........Frankie
