Had mint split rim on my 3.0 sport(albeit the polished outer sprayed silver professionally in past ....but going to return them to polished. The tyres had loads tread but had perished as usual with Pilot Sport Michelin's. Prob due to being 15 yr old and only covering 6k in that time. Car has only done 35k and minter in siennarot red. Instead of buying new tyres was tempted by the style 68 , and saw a very nice set with Uniroyal tyres with loads tread, tyres recent date stamp for same price as just a set of tyres for the split rim ones. Same sizes, 5mm rear offset difference, no prob as I use 15mm or 20mm rear spacers. I actually prefer the style 68 , hear my originals worth a bit once restored to polished edge. Never even had a curb mark just needed polishing but a dealer refurbed the dull polished part unfortunately with a pro silver paint job.

I even have a "Goldeneye" Bond theme numberplate that I got heavily discounted during the scamdemic. .......

My Z3 had those on, one of my favourite wheels for the Z3.

Heard that people want are after my split rim types. In two minds if to sell or keep in case ever sell car to someone who wants originality. But I can't see me ever selling.
