Have just acquired 1998 Z3 Roadster 88,000 miles, in reasonable condition though it needs a respray and the camshaft needs attention as it is knocking.
Has anyone any advice on the cost of camshaft replacement, skimming head etc?

Hi Neil, welcome onboard, sounds like you have a project on your hands, what engine do you have?

Hi Neil and welcome
I had a 1.9 with a knocking engine, It was the head gasket, they are prone to this. I got a good deal on the Cylinder head skim including gasket set £275. This didn't include labour or replacement fluids.
Good luck with the project

Hi Paul,
Thanks for the welcome and useful info - just hope it’s only the head gasket and not the camshaft.
