Just something Jim oldcarman said about adding a new member to the M44 massive, what about a banner for the Midlands lot? There's a fair few of us and we don't belong to anybody :(. Maybe we could put some ideas in as to a name and set a vote up if it works with you? We would have to confirm a "Midlands" area. Maybe Notts, Lincs, Leics, Derbys, Yorks, Staffs.
As said in the title, just a thought Gaz. :)

I'm not sure our Yorkshire friends would want to be classified as being Midlands! ;)

And what about us in Warwickshire? Are we southerners?

We could spend quite some time debating where the Midlands starts and ends. After all, to our Scottish members we in England (and Wales) are all southerners. ;)

Groups require manually setting up at the moment which I'm happy to do when there is a defined group/region I can cover. Countries are pretty easy to define and configure. I do have some group requests I still haven't gotten around to as yet (sorry to those who have asked - you are still on my list!).

A general Midlands group could be difficult to manage if I'm getting requests to join do I have to look up where someone is. Also if someone attends the Midlands groups meets but doesn't live in the Midlands, do they qualify?

The groups we have already tend to cover a specific group/interest or region. For example the Scottish region was created while we were working with that region of the BMW Car Club. I probably should create groups for the remaining home nations which is overdue @miller1098 ...

I did buy the license for an add on which allows members to create their own groups, but I just haven't had the time to look at it properly.

"It's on the list" It's not a NO, I just need to get some time (and motivation) for sorting out the groups properly - most likely using the add on I bought last year - and it all becomes an automatic process...

They were just examples of counties in the central region Gail. Nothing set in stone. :)

Yes I realised that. It's just that if we try to please everyone by the time we've finished we could end up with the Midlands starting in Northumberland and ending on the Isle of Wight. =))

No worries, it's something that's been on the back burner for some time now. If it was an imposition I'd have politely told you to shut up :D
