Paul and Julie at my local have said they would be happy to host a gathering of Z's at their pub on September the 13th in the afternoon (1.00 - 1.30 ?) A couple of members have indicated a liking for steak pot pie, which Paul makes his own and I can tell you they're very tasty. On Sunday they do Sunday lunch for £6.50, offering a choice of three roast meats, Beef, Pork or Gammon. As well as Fish and chips, Scampi and chips or Steak pie and chips. Any one wanting to eat please note they serve food from 12.00 until 4.00 on Sundays. Please ring the White Swan on 01427 718653 and place your food order and mention that you're with Tony's Z.org meet.
At the front of the pub there is a fair sized expanse of grass which Paul keeps trim and he assures me it will be very short for that weekend, this is their over spill car park.
If you're approaching on the A156 from Gainsborough you will cross over Torksey Lock, get in the right hand lane to take the A1133 (Newark), the pub is on the junction.
If you're approaching from Newark, Dunham Bridge direction on the A1133 you will need to turn off just past these bollards. Please note there won't be a gorgeous Z3 parked there on that day!!
If, for some reason you approach on the A156 from Lincoln direction you need to get in the left turn lane. this may seem obvious but please be aware there are some strange " Give way" priorities on this junction.
This is the grassy area we will be parking on, don't worry it is quite even, you wouldn't want to be doing 60 mph across it but I'm sure you get the idea.
There is quite a large patio at the front of the pub too.
