Well, after a bitter departure from my Z4 coupe,I sold in October [ the ABS module failed and i sold it to one of the online buying websites as i'd fell out with it after spending 3000 on maintainance, it was the final straw]

It didn't put me off Z4s entirley though, i still wanted one but seeing as it is purely a second car used on the weekend, i thought i'd go with a cheaper, earlier roadster.

looked at one on thursday night last week that was an utter pile of sh1t, all panels dented 8 owners & looked/felt like it had had a hard life,

Tried to buy the Merlot roadster advertised on here, however someone beat me to it and it was a propper journey too.

Anyway, a mate of mine found this for me late on friday evening, a 3.0i in Titan silver with black oregon leather, not many options bar heated seats, storage pack & 107 elipsoids.

The car was located in Bromsgrove, which is below the midlands, i am up in preston, i contacted the seller, who'd owned the car for 6 years with one previous owner to him.

IT was well within my budget, and that included travel costs, so i quickly left a deposit, and hopped on the train down to birmingham.

A friend of mine picked me up in birmingham and drove me the duration to Bromsgrove where we reached the guys house - a nice house with a 66 plate X5 sat on the drive, his 'upgrade' which certainly put me at ease.

Quick look around the car, all paint is original, no scuffs, dents, scrapes - wheels have a bit of corrosion & front bumper is heavily chipped/cracked paint/flat finish but thats it. Drivers bolster a bit discoloured but not worn through.

Started the car - drove it down the road, it felt tight as a drum, got it onto a dual carriageway effortless performance, agile & no knocks/bangs etc - knew it was the one for me. Took him home gave him some cash & Set off back to Preston!

Very happy with the car, I actually dropped it off at the bodyshop last night to have the front bumper painted, as it was quite shocking.

NO real plans as i have a 'show car' if you will for my every day duties, so it will be nice to get the Z4 in OEM mint condition to use at weekends and to take to shows :)

this is her, after a quick wipe over with a microfibre & some detailing spray, awaiting a full machine polish! ordered centre caps & fitted the stubby off the coupe `

Not really much in the way of pictures of further progress but I've since fitted

Hid kit
12mm and 20mm spacers
Aux in
M sport steering wheel
Clubsport knob

Fitted some 30mm lowering springs but being more accustomed to slammed motors they just don't cut the mustard for me so Ive just picked up some coilovers this evening and will be fitting them tomorrow all being well

Nice Z4 but that e46 mmmmm....are those the Dare F5 alloys? I was wondering how the dishes hold up to every day use if they are lacquered.

Thanks Dino they are indeed dare f5s. I've copied and pasted that old post from somewhere else so I've since sold the e46! I've got an e92 now

The wheels were lacquered and did hold up well to the abuse from salt etc

Hi jamie and welcome from me down here in Hertfordshire. Not seen a Z4 with the wheels you thinking of getting but they do look great on a Z3. Mine are Jap Racing jr10s at 8.5in front 9.5in rear £650, so those you've posted are a real good deal, but they are a real pain to keep clean.
Here's a couple of pics of mine to save trying to find them.

Can't wait to see your Z4 with them on, great choice if they look as good as above pics, but hen Im biased of cause.
