That is seriously hefty . . .

I've played golf in Riyadh at 48C and got by but that was a dry heat. I've played in Dubai at 37C with 80% humidity and that was worse. Sapping. Combine the two . . . Woof !

Is it not usual to install a few split a/c's or 10 . . . ?

Isnt there a city built underground somewhere down there just because the heat is extreme on the surface?

We have splits in every room, and 03kv on the roof, so they cost nothing to run when its sunny.. Fortunately...:thumbsup:. But its still a bit like being a prisoner in your own home when its like this...

But there's more than just opals underneath the surface of Coober Pedy. Because of the high outback temperatures, which are around 35 degrees Celsius and higher in the summer, more than half of the town's population of 2,000 lives underground. Their homes — called "dugouts" — are carved out of the rock. :thumbsup:
