First of all, apologies to any Italian forum members :) but it has to be said. Italian drivers have to be the worst in Europe. No regard for others, ignore the speed limit, ignore the solid white line, ignore any line in the road, ignore any need to indicate and overtake any time whether it's safe or not.

The passes are not scary but the cars and the motorbikes making really stupid decisions are. Thankfully we have survived another day :nailbiting: only two more to go, wish us luck

But apart from that the scenery is stunning when I have my eyes open lol

Ok rant over I am now calm :)

haha Who dares wins - did the Amalfi Run a number of years ago in an old Cinquecento with an Italian driver. He was 6' 4" so he pulled back the folding roof and drove with his head out. Halfway along he said now we drive English style and drove on the left - that was scary! Fortunately it was 3 in the morning so not much about.

My old boss used to sell Italian cars in Lincoln, Fiat and Alfa's, the old bugger scared the crap out of me as an 18 year old in his Alfa GTV6 Veloce on the back lane through Doddington to Lincoln. But he could drive though. He said Italians don't drive on their brakes only on their hooters.=))=))

Tony.

You should be here @Mrs Mint :p
The drivers over here are terrible :)
I don't think they know what the traffic signs are for :)
It's just one big free for all .......... :)

I find if you drive like them then its safer =))

Yeah I expect your right :p
Just go with the flow ............:)
But knowing our luck we'd get stopped ;)
As were the foreigners over here =))

Benevento a Italia/Welcome to Italy hope your trips going well otherwise though

Go with the flow is the best advice. On the other hand you should drive in RO and than you will reconsider the Italians! But one thing is sure: the Italian Zedders are very carefully in the traffic.
So relax and drive Italian!

See, I always new that billz was mostly Italian!! especially when he was passing me going round a bend with both hands waving in the air, and Kim shouting at him, and i think that was in a sort of Italian........

Brian she has been saying somethings on this holiday that can not be translated lol

Hi Paul having a great time, the roads over the passes are fun for Dave and the scenery is stunning, even went back to do one we had already done on the way here, does that make sense!
Last day tomorrow then starting for home but I'm sure Dave has planned the scenic route :)

But they wouldn't know until they pulled you over @Shelly because the car would have Greek plates on it or are you a magnet that just put you in Rm 101 no matter where you are? I've heard Greek jails aren't very nice. JIM
