Last year I posted a picture of a lovely blue i8 I took in Celebration town centre, tonight as we came out of Cheddar's another one. I got my camera to take a picture just as the man opened the driver's door to get out, so I had to compliment him on the car, would've been rude not to!
As the door was still open I was cheeky enough to ask if I could sit in it and would he take my picture!
Absolutely, he said. As we were chatting I mentioned about the one I'd seen in Celebration last year, this was it he said my office is at the end of Market Street. He was telling us about the car when another guy came up asking questions too so I gave him a zorg card and took his picture with his car. A genuinely nice guy! I think his name was David, but I'm not sure as the other man was constantly talking. Either way what a nice fella to let a complete stranger sit in your car.
I'll be looking out for the car in Celebration next time and maybe cadge a ride. 0-60 in just, just over 3 seconds he tells me, would like to try that. Rear tyres last 10,000 fronts maybe 12,000. Quick driving gets you 35 ish mpg and sensible over 70. He says he doesn't do much sensible driving. Made my day.
Tony.
