Last year I posted a picture of a lovely blue i8 I took in Celebration town centre, tonight as we came out of Cheddar's another one. I got my camera to take a picture just as the man opened the driver's door to get out, so I had to compliment him on the car, would've been rude not to!

As the door was still open I was cheeky enough to ask if I could sit in it and would he take my picture!:)
Absolutely, he said. As we were chatting I mentioned about the one I'd seen in Celebration last year, this was it he said my office is at the end of Market Street. He was telling us about the car when another guy came up asking questions too so I gave him a zorg card and took his picture with his car. A genuinely nice guy! I think his name was David, but I'm not sure as the other man was constantly talking. Either way what a nice fella to let a complete stranger sit in your car.

I'll be looking out for the car in Celebration next time and maybe cadge a ride. 0-60 in just, just over 3 seconds he tells me, would like to try that. Rear tyres last 10,000 fronts maybe 12,000. Quick driving gets you 35 ish mpg and sensible over 70. He says he doesn't do much sensible driving.:D Made my day.

Tony.

Still a few good ones about Tony. (People that is) I'm not 100% convinced with the i8. I sort of get it but I don't, I think there just a bit full on for me, too much of a statement if you get my drift. A lovely car tho don't get me wrong.

Was in a BMW stealer about two years ago when one of the salesman jumped into an i8 and pulled away in stealth mode. A few seconds of silent but rapid acceleration followed by a banshee like scream from the engine as it burst into life and the car headed down the road at what seems like an impossible speed for a milk float.

Yes - not the best looking of cars for sure, but am impressed with the bleeding edge road technology.
Someday soon most cars will be using it whether we like it or not.

I always wonder how easy it is to open and close those doors and how many parking spaces you'd need to protect it from jealous others!! lol. JIM
