Introduction

Hey everyone, I bought a '98 Z3 in August of 2022. I am getting around to doing some serious maintenance on it over this summer and came across this forum. Figured if I was gonna keep my Z3 I may as well become a part of the online community. I live in the UK right now, but I will be moving to Texas later this year.

So this Z3 kinda has a weird history. Built in America, shipped to Japan, shipped over to the UK, then rebuilt by a hobbyist. Then I bought it off of him when his wife told him to get rid of it. I'm sure the plate had to be added when it was shipped over.

I also could be talking out my *** as I don't know too much about the UK, since I moved here back in 2021.

That is an interesting history. Seems to have come to the UK in 2003. I have seen Z3’s on 03 plates, but not 98 model year. Maybe it was given a fresh registration because the Z3 was still just about available new in late 2003.
