That is a very tidy looking classic, what is that in the middle of the steering wheel ?.
Two hand controls, lower is hand throttle for fast idle on a cold engine, upper is advance/retard for the ignition (no automatic advance in 1925). Ignition is by magneto Set full retard to start then advance when running.

Hi Gaz. Have owned roadsters since the late 1960’s, starting with an MGA 1600, then MGB(2), then kids!. In past10 years have owned MGF 1.8VVC, Mazda MX5(sorry!) and now 56 plate Z4 2.0SE. Also have a 1925 Austin Heavy 12/4, 20bhp @ 2000rpm, 0-60 you must be joking! but great fun to drive and gets a lot of smiles.
