I can't wait to get the brakes hooked up and give it a run. Given the state of the bushes I'm expecting a huge difference!Looking great Martin a lot of work but definitely worth it
Just changed all my front ball joints and roll bar links its tightened the car up nicely. The work you have completed should make it a dream to driveI can't wait to get the brakes hooked up and give it a run. Given the state of the bushes I'm expecting a huge difference!
I'd do the front but this has taken enough patience. I need to save some up for next year...Just changed all my front ball joints and roll bar links its tightened the car up nicely. The work you have completed should make it a dream to drive
Could yo tell me some more about that? I'm intrigued...I brought the tooling to replace the ball joints as more often than not its just the outer lower joint that is shot and you can replace the joint remarkably easy to do and can be done on the car !
You mean the diameter of the bar? Not sure I'll let you know tomorrow. Apparently they are twice as stiff as OEM on their softest settingI bet you'll be amazed at the difference @Mnbrennan!! Nice job it will look great for some time to come. How much heavier did you go on the ARB's?? JIM
Thanks mate, I think I've been put off for lifeBlimey Martin. Just caught up on this. You've been a busy boy and stressing yourself out by the looks of things.
Fair play to you for digging so deep and having a go. Your hard work is paying off. Keep at it, soon be done mate.
@Grumpy hahahaha he has Sunny still to doThanks mate, I think I've been put off for life
You be had a tough time of it but you've stuck with it and it will be worth it mate. Not long now. Thanks mate, I think I've been put off for life
Oh God don't! He'll be in tears lol!!@Grumpy hahahaha he has Sunny still to do
If you're fitting new cables Martin the easiest option is to cut off the outer ring end and pull the inner cable back then just use a drift just the size of the alloy end on the new cable to punch it out with a few choice hammer blows. If it won't move drill the bugger out mate.Tomorrow I'll be fitting these:
I'm having a bit of a nightmare with the brakes. I'm struggling to get the handbrake cables out, and the SS lines may not be delivered until after the weekend. I had ordered SS braiding but have had to go with a set which have black lines (still SS underneath a black cover).
Everything is pretty much done now apart from brakes
