Newbie in here, I’m doing a resto on my Dads 99’ 2.0 wide body. It’s pretty mint as it is just some cosmetic touches needed agd I want to change the wheels

It’s got 43k on it, he’s had it for 18 years now and only used in summer as a toy.

Looking for some staggered wheels for it (17” or 18”) must be straight and true with no previous repairs but will have ones that need full refurb and tyres

Thanks

I have a set of 17" style 18 staggered wheels. They are in almost pristine condition (don't need refurbing) and have virtually new (tread wise) budget tyres on.
The tyres will need changing, though, as they are old and it has been sat for a long time in the same place.

Only problem is they won't be available for a few months, as I need them at present.

That’s fine Pond and thanks, I can wait as I’m in no rush as it’s winterised now and I will be doing the work over the next 6 months, let me know how much you want for them. I’m in Warrington Cheshire

If you are still interested when the time comes, I will send some pictures and we can go from there. They won't be expensive.

Hi and welcome,No doubt somebody will point out that if it's a 2.0 it's not what is normally descibed as a 'wide body'. It's a facelift and I'm in a minority who think it's the best shape rear! Enjoy.

Ah, I see, it has the wider rear though ??? What's the difference between wide body and facelift, learning all the time . . .

Completed the first leg of the journey to making it 100% mint.

New front discs and pads
New O/S front caliper
Two new rear shocks
Two new front stabiliser links
New MOT

It’s got about 7/8 trolley dings that are being sorted by the local dent man on Friday. Then front rear bumper resprayed / relacquered.

Next is machine polish and ceramic coating and custom remap

If will be mint when it’s done, mechanic says it very clean underneath too with no corrosion (it’s been garaged for 17 years)

I’m really falling in love with this car and my Dad will be made up. Drives really well now too
