Hi, as a recent emigre to NZ from the southwest of England I have purchased a 2001 Z3 3.0 Auto in Topaz Blue. The dash lights up like a christmas tree and it has a personal reg which was very appropriate for the lady who I bought it off but will have to be changed.
Looking forward to browsing the forums for assistance in resolving the car's issues!

The reg is the first thing to go - it's now got my personal plate RJN1.

Well after a few weeks of work and more than a few NZ$'s spent my Z3 is looking soooo much better. I very quickly changed the personal reg (I'm no Z3HUNY) and soldered up the dry joints in the ABS/ASC Controller - only got the oil level sensor to fix to have an unlit set of warning lights. Had the whole of the front and the wheels resprayed, then fitted the new 'Halo' headlamp units. Oh and along the way I fitted a replacement headlamp switch, a new aerial rubber, removed the secondary cats and fixed the rocking seats/seized adjuster motor/mechanisms.
