I recently purchased a 1996 Z3 with 97000 miles. I'm finally, several months, getting around to fix the rocking seats. I did purchase the Dougs fix. I thought already joined but lets try it again. Looking forward to picking the brains of the members

We are in Orlando where the Chamber of Commerce is worried you Brits will stop coming since the Exit. It's the 1.9L, so it's all show no go.

I've downloaded the Power Point on the seat fix, but wondering if it is really a DIY project.
@CChetA I can confirm that the process is very easy. I'm the world worst DIY mechanic and did it. Did the second seat in about 45 minutes after taking my time doing the first.

The members on here who own the 1.9's will probably disagree with that, merely stating that you do have to drive them. My car is Z4 3.0 but only bought it last August, up till then I had a Z3 2.0

Here's where I live,

We're in Kissimmee. Looking forwards to coming back in September. We've been coming to Kissimmee since 1994, no signs of us not doing either. I'm jealous of your weather too, we sometimes "put up with" a Mustang while we're over there.

Tony.

So,Andy has answered your question and there is likely a thread or link on here somewhere that someone will put up in a post. You also qualify for membership in the M44 Massive a very elite group of people with the 1.9 L engine. So welcome from me!! @ GazHyde please perform the honour! JIM

Come on down now. It's little rain and 96 for days. Definitely not daytime top down weather. I've always liked the Z3. Reminds me of my 63 Austin Healey 3000. 3rd childhood!

Welcome to the MassiveM44, from another 1.9 silver owner! Red leather works fine with the silver color!
Enjoy the car and the forum!
Dan
PS the Healey looks great! I drove one ten years ago. The Zed will do a great replacement!
