Not sure what the actual name of these parts are but i will try to describe.

The windows run down two tracks inside the drivers door when lowered. The front one of mine has the rubber insert missing so i need to replace this. When i close the door it rattles so assume its because the glass isnt being held firm with this missing.

Can any breakers help me out?

Thanks

Jon

Close the door window down ?
It has a few fixings under the door and behind the door card, but the rubber missing certainly sounds like its the culprit !

The rubber is bonded to the quarter light glass.

You’ll need to replace the quarter light.

It’s easy enough and they aren’t expensive secondhand. Though a bit of a challenge to find one where there are no splits at the very top of the rubber.

Easy enough to replace too as long as you are happy with taking the door card off.

I was kinda hoping not to have to replace the whole lot, could
The rubber be cut out internally and transplanted ?? Just the lower part ??

Failing that does anyone have the full part ?

Yes you could cut it and replace te lower half as it can't go anywhere and is a tight fit

If you fit just the lower section, once you have it cut to length and fitted just pull about 1" out of the channel and apply some superglue then push it back into the channel. So long as the bottom end is fixed it can't go anywhere.

Tony.
