Hi there,

I have a much loved and well serviced 2.0l Z$ 2006 currently on 141,000 miles and still gong strong. It flies through MoT's no problem but I currently have a bit of a head scratcher where the coolant light comes on after about 15-20 minutes when the car has warmed up and only then blows warm air into the car, and is cold before the light comes on. At this time of the year looking to defrost and get warm of a morning an obvious concern!

The coolant level seems fine so guessing it might be sensor/electrics related?

I'm guessing your Z$ is a Z4 ?
If it were mine I would fit a new thermostat at that mileage. Also most t/stats come with new temp. sensor fitted. I would also buy an infra red thermometer (like the Covid tester type) and see how hot, or not, its getting.

Tony.
