I would appreciate any thoughts on this electrical issue, car running ok, turn off and on battery Ok. occasionally ABS light flickers on/off, push brake pedal, radio cut out, restarts when remove foot. Turn engine off, then can’t restart as battery not sufficiently charged to turn over.

any thought on identifying problem greatly appreciated

Thanks

Most tyre places will do a free battery check ... I've used ProTyre in Fareham for this before. They will test the alternator as well which would be my next port of call. At least that will eliinate those if not. Its amazing the impact of even a slightly duff battery. Have you pluged it into a code reader to see if there are any fault codes ?

I had a major battery drain after I, as passenger, slid the passenger seat all the way back and never noticed that the seat adjust switch had stuck in the back position so the motor just churned away. Maybe the seat was reclined a bit so the seat never reached the stop.

Anyway. Next morning battery totally dead. Not even enough to light up the dash.
