Well lads, since I was finding it so difficult to source and buy the correct trim pieces at a sensible price, I decided to take the advice given by a couple of lads on here to have another piece paint matched and have a go at painting the black prices of trim I had fitted.

Took a visor into my local motor factors and had them make 2 time of aerosols and together with some etch primer started at them this evening.

Scratched...

Primed...

2 coats...

They might need another hit tomorrow with a 3rd coat in the daylight but I'll see. So far I'm very happy with the result but I'll see how they look once fitted with the other parts in the car.

Looking very nice Baz, and you're not paying a premium on over priced parts. They should look very good.

Got out today and got one last coat one but the weather is garbage so couldn't get outside for a decent photo. Managed to get a couple in the garage though.

Proof will be in the pudding when I get out to the car and get them fitted maybe at the start of the week, the finish is good and colour is bang on to the sun visor, just hope it matches the rest of the interior as well.

No reason it shouldn't match Baz. I think you've done a great job on those trims.

Got round to introducing the newly painted trim peices to the car the other and have to say, they are a very good match to the rest of the interior. Admittedly it was kept in the garage and the real proof will be when I take the car out into Daylight, for the first time in 6 months.

Will fit the pieces properly in the next week or so and take some photos,

Cheers,
