Interior mirror

guys. Do these z3’s have dimming mirrors.

Mine looks like it’s got wires running to it. But no round sensor in the glass

I'm pretty sure they did, It may have been replaced at some time ? A quite popular mod was to swap with one from an early BMW Mini as they were smaller. I can't recall who did it but someone will.

I’ve replaced mine with an E46 M3 rear view mirror. Wired it into the light. Now auto dimming.

The wiring going to the mirror is alarm wiring the reciever for the remote is in the mirror stem hence the wires

As far as I’m aware no Z3 had factory Auto Dimming mirror
