Hello
I want to repair my seats but couldn’t find a company that made the dye for my z3. I bought sand beige from automotive leather dye but it was the sand beige meant for our cars. I contacted them about sending in a sample leather and they said they can make a custom dye for me. I put my hand brake boot up to the seat and it was a different shade. I did the same with the extended leather airbag cover and it was also different. I put the airbag cover next to the handbrake boot and they were also different shades. The three (seat, airbag cover, and handbrake boot) are all different from the interior plastics. That 4 things that are a different shade from each other. I am just wondering did BMW use a different dye on all of these components or is it just the way it looks on different materials. The seat, handbrake boot, and dash cover are all different leathers with different grain. I don’t want to send them a sample and it comes out as a different color from the seat.
TIA

I have used Furniture Clinic dyes for the Tanin Red interior in my car and the match is close to original. Highly recommend you check them out as they list bmw colours in the choices available
