Use one of the internet Comparison sites and check out prices and cover from the firms that come back after filling in your details.
I have both the Z3 and Z4 covered with Saga on separate policies, they were very good on price but I am approaching 70 years of age and currently 3 points for speeding. Premiums actually went down after I updated them with the speeding fine. I never sign up for automatic renewals and always compare prices on the Comparison sites when the renewals are due.

Copy from a thread I posted on earlier in the year.

"I previously used Brentacre, Manning and Adrian Flux (for the last 3 years). This year I thought my AF renew was a bit high so as I normally do checked around and came up with a much better quote with Classic Line who had been close to my AF quotes over the last few years.
I've also checked with BMWCC A Plan, Hagerty, Saga and Chris Knott over the years. It pays to take a few hours and just shop around as the variations are huge depending on things mentioned in post above. (i.e. Location, driver age, annual mileage, value, garaged overnight, licence points etc)
My last insurance with Classic Line cost £268 with agreed value, garaged overnight and 3k annual mileage limit."
Good luck with your search.

Thanks guys, all useful info.
Been offered several at around £220, one includes a guarantee that they pay the agreed value in the case of an insurance write off, and you get to keep what's left of the car.
Not an incentive to drive negligently...... but a happier outcome should the worst happen

Agreed value with buy back salvage rights is good idea especially since a z3 can be written off ( as a uneconomical repair) for fairly minor damage especially to things like the bonnet.

That quote is £210.00, which is about the average quoted . However I would have to join the BMW owners Club for that rate.
Not entirely sure what difference being a member of a club can possibly make to the insurer
The cheapest I've had is £103.75 which I find hard to believe.
Problem is you don't know how good your insurer is until you make a claim !

Sadly, your on-line system says unable to quote due to specialist nature of vehicle....lol
