Instrument fault

Wife is out and has just phoned me to say the car is running okay, but none of the instruments are working. All lights on dash are okay. Any ideas, is this likely to be just a fuse?

At the simplest yes, easy to check for the fuse. If not the fuse then there should be an error code logged to point to the specific issue if modular, also there is a known fault where the instrument wiring harness chaffs and ends in broken wires.

Seems to have cleared itself for now, after being parked up for a couple of hours. Will keep an eye on it. Thanks
