Installing rear camera, how to detect in reverse?

I'm installing a rear view camera with to a Pioneer head unit that has a wire for detecting when the car switches to reverse gear so it can automatically show the video feed. Does anyone know what to hook that wire up to in the Z3? (2001 Roadster)

Reversing light.
When I fitted mine I used a wireless connector (about £15 on eBay), very simple to fit and saves having to run wires front to rear.
