Finally I have finished installing the footwell lighting, green led strip in both footwells.

I hooked it up to the interior light so whatever it does so the footwells do. When I use the remote to open the doors the lights come on with the glow of green.

It took me a while to do as getting the wire through to the interior light was a pita and I accidently cut off the leds when I was hooking up the driver side (didnt really know what I was doing lol). Now, it works perfect and I am really happy. Only one bad burn to the thumb!

Any pictures coops, when it's dark.;). I've got a couple of strips from Walmart which is a winter project for me. I have led in the main roof lamp which looks really nice so these strips will go well with them I think.

Guys when it stops raining I will take some pictures when the hood is down and put here! The LED's are a lovely shade of green and are reasonably bright but not overbearing. My car is green that's why I got the green lights. I also have a white festoon bulb in the cabin which is really crisp and bright.

Have a great day lads.

Cheers mate, look forwards to seeing your pics. Where did you mount the foot well lights. I also came across 2 strips of 5 Led's which I am thinking of putting under the side edges of both rear wings inside the boot. This is because I carry a box full of polishes etc and that tends to make the outer corners of the boot very dark. Another one for the winter.

Tony.

Because it was dark the camera aperture stayed open a bit long, hence the poor quality. Really, they provide a nice warm glow that is not overbearing. I mean someone from a hundred yards away would not expect to see the Green Lantern busting forth to catch crooks. :)

The next thing on the list is to install another set of green LEDs under the plastic wind blocker so the edges and the Z3 etched behind each headrest [will do that soon] will reflect the green! I will hook this up to a switch so it can be turned on or off at will. I managed to get the guy in the USA to send me another wind blocker [cast off] for free so I could practice on it. :)

What method are you planning Cooper? I think I would use sand blasting such as used in etching glasses. JIM

I will try using a engraving tool and also cut right through and see how that works. I will engrave at different debths and see which is best.

I got around to installing 2, 5 led strips in my boot on Saturday afternoon. I put them on the under side of the rear wings to add light to the corners of the boot which don't get well lit from the main light when you have items already in the boot space.

Also one of the cabin with an led bulb in the interior light.

Led's give a more modern fresh light I think.
