Hi Guys,
I just reset my inspection light and the car seems all over the place, it sounds very strange whilst idling. I haven't taken it for a drive yet. Should I be concerned?

What could have happened..
Thanks

Hi Dean, a decent code reader sounds like your best starting place, particularly with your other question over possible power loss.

Give the air intake hosing a good look over for splits, they tend to happen in areas you can't see from the top. You could also try unplugging the MAF (mass air flow) sensor and see how it runs. Without the MAF plugged in it will run a default map on the ECU and rule out the sensor itself as being faulty.

I maybe talking out my bum here but did you screw on the lid of the round plug with the pins? reason I ask is there is something deep down at the back of my mind telling me the car knows if its fitted or not and if its not It goes into a kinda test mode or something like that.

not sure where I read that or even If it was this car

Never come across an issue like this before, I would guess it's a coincidence it's happened at the same time.

As you've reset the service light what work have you done?
