Do you remember the time I was deciding on the colour, it took bloody weeks to settle on Protonic, Carrie was sick of it, I was constantly going on about it,
Did you start to get random 'yes dear'' during conversations =))

Mine has a small cut out, you cant really see it on this pic but it was a great oppertunity to show off my engine bay :D

Great under bonnet prep, but the bracket on the strut base plate I have is just where the earth fixing is, so can't cut out a piece. Looks like the earth 'terminal' has to go .which is not a big deal.

Personally I would look for the correct brace, that brace you have is for the E36 which is the same layout as the Z3 apart from the negative battery terminal.

The one I got was for the E36, but as I said, it can be fitted you just need to take care.

I take your point, but surely if you wanted to jump start the car you would do it direct on the battery thus making the engine bay neg earth connection superfluous anyway.

It's just a common thing on vehicles where the battery is fitted in the boot or even on many vans where they're under the seats or in the floor area. Just makes jump starting more accessible, any way I usually clamp the earth lead directly to the engine which eliminates a bad body earth anyway.
