Injectors?

so I felt my Z3M with a S50 engine was slightly rough ticking over.

Plugged it into the computer and a fault code came up telling me number one injector is faulty!

Now which end of the S50 engine is number One?

Is it from the front of the engine as you stand in front of the car or the back end of the engine nearest the drivers position?

I’m sure one of you guys know?

Totally agree never a silly question there is a number of engines out there where number 1 is furthest away from the timing belt/chain end .
