Hi Everyone,
I have spent quite a lot of time trying to find LED indicator bulbs which don’t cause hyper-flash.
…I failed….
I went through in excess of 10 different styles, makes and models but found that all, eventually, hyper-flash, despite the marketing spiel!
The combination of LED indicator bulbs I settled on last roughly 2 minutes of constant use before they hyperflash.
2 minutes for the majority of the time is more than enough. How often do you sit with them just blinking away?
The only solution, as has been determined by others previously, is to modify the indicator relay.
I’ve worked through the logic to confirm the design and function.
I’ve now got modified OEM relays for sale on the web shop.
ZEDonist.com
The cheapest place is through my website but if you want I have them on eBay too - more expensive due to eBay commission!
They are original used parts all in excellent condition.
It’s a 2 minute job (literally, I timed it) to swap over the relays. Everything is plug and play.
The relay should work with any LED bulb or combination of filament and LED bulb.
I am asking people to return their original relays for a £10 refund so I can keep the supply going.
There’s no major rush to send your original one back, it’s important that you’re happy and confident first.
I’ve also got various LED bulbs for sale too.
Having spent so long trying to find good quality reliable indicator bulbs I figured I may as well make them available to all.
Heres a photo of the difference between my standard filament and new LED bulbs.
I don’t do photoshop so this is just how my iPhone took it.
I’ll put a post in the “For Sale” section which is a little less rambling!
All the best
Martin
