News warning of heavy traffic everywhere as people head out for the day.

Suns shining and the cars clean so not going to let the possibility of traffic put me off, but where to head?

Fortunately based within just a few miles of Lincolnshire, Nottinghamshire and Derbyshire, not to mention East and North Yorkshire.

Could be busy on my favourite Derbyshire peaks and Yorkshire coast routes, Nottinghamshire a bit alien to me so off to Lincolnshire.

Bit on the flat side and very agricultural makes for some very good sweeping roads, Fortunately lots of undiscovered tarmac to enjoy.

So off we go on a bank holiday Saturday in search of the holy grail!

Plenty of good quiet roads here in Lincs - managed a quick blast yesterday as had to get some juice. annoyingly now too many of the A roads have been reduced to 50 !! But plenty of B ones still at NSL and empty.

Ignore the typical tourist locations and routes to them - you'll be fine.

Enjoy the drive out! I’m in search of a dark room - I need to lie down after the ‘customer service’ experience I received this morning from Audi NI!

Just back after a very enjoyable drive. One ive done previously by mistake in the tin top, so much better with the roof down.
Re traced the route from a couple of weeks ago following the Trent through Owston Ferry and West Stockwith. Road closed after Misterton so back road to Gringley on the Hill then Gainsborough. Turning off the Gainsborough By pass through Sturgate and the Airfield Ending up on the Lincoln road near the Showground left heading towards Scunthorpe arriving at hemswell Antique centre for lunch then a boring run home to Bawtry admiring the average speed camera's on route. Sorry no pictures.

The roads down the side of the Trent are nice Paul, I enjoyed it the other week.

Tony.

My part of the southwest is rammed as usual so I’ll be waiting for Easter to be over.

I‘ve been outside today cleaning the car and doing the front garden and doing my tourist information bit “is this right way to the harbour, can we get the beach this way?” I smile and answer like the professional I am😁

Yes Dave, had my passport with me so I strayed over the border briefly ! :D
Thought I recognised it, we've walked up that road many times;)
