Right O peeps. I'll be doing a full run of the single day Lakes Tour on this day if anybody wants to join in?
Saturday 05 October 2019, kick off @ 10:00hrs.
Planned route and stops
Start point - Lake land Motor Museum (www.lakelandmotormuseum.co.uk) LA12 8TA 20 minutes from J36 M6 (free parking)
Travel on the A590 > A5092 coming off onto the A5084 shadowing Coniston Water and back on ourselves on the A595 back on to the A5092 for a couple of clicks.
A5092 then off along Birker Moore to Eskdale. Proper Top Gear road.
Stop for a coke and natter at the Woolpack Inn (www.woolpack.co.uk) food if you want it. 1hr ish
Continue onwards on the twisty stuff over Hard Knott Pass & Wyrnose Pass (good challenging roads)
A593 > A592 up the Kirkstone Pass stopping at the Kirkstone Pass Inn for a drink/natter/photo's (www.kirkstonepassinn.com) food if you want it, 1hr ish (parking may be an issue so we'll suck it and see)
Continue on the A592 along the length of Ulswater and finishing at Pooley Bridge, nice little riverside village.
J40 M6/A66 is less than 15 minutes from Pooley Bridge for your drive home North/South or A66 East/West.
The drive less natter and stops will be at least 4 hours long and right through the heart of the Lakes and on the best twisty and scenic roads to make it worth your while.
Check handbrake and Clutch!
Usual route starting at the Lakeland Motor Museum and ending at the Reghed Service Station. Pooley Bridge bridge being renewed so closed.
Route includes Coniston, Torver, Birka Fell, Hardknott Pass and Wrynose Pass
