First time out of my garage since 2019 so gave her a quick wipe over before going onto the transporter. She still scrubs up nicely eh?

"Hello Porsche, I'm your new neighbour for the foreseeable future"

After being the victim of cat converter thieves I decided that I wasn't going to risk leaving one of my cars on the drive anymore and because I only have room in my garage for one car at a time I decided to put one of my cars into storage.
My plan is to carry out the repairs to my butchered Zed in my garage, safe from prying eyes of opportunistic thieves.
I'm not restricting myself to a timescale, it will get done when it's done.

It's a bit cramped down here in the Ratt hole but it'll have to do. First job is to fit the new cat and exhaust so that I can move in and out of the garage without disturbing everybody in the village. Then it's new sills, new front wings and then suspension and brakes refresh. When those jobs are done I'll move her on unless I have a change of heart. We'll see .......

If the scum had been joy riding in it or indeed been in the car I can understand your feeling of being violated Garry. Unless they damaged the body a new exhaust removes their presence? After all you propose doing it's a keeper surely? Is this the one with the engine incident on the euro? Too many memories to move it on.
I have two sat on my drive and worry, any noise in the night and I'm up!!
It was my black Zed that had the engine change after blowing up on the Euro trip back in 2017. I bought the silver car in 2018 to do the 2018 Euro trip because the black car was using too much oil prior to the engine change. I'm keeping the black car but haven't had it on the road since 2019, in fact it's only done 759 miles since the engine blew. Mileage was 109405 when the engine blew and it's on 110164 now as it went into storage.

The thieves didn't break into the silver car, they just cut the exhaust and pulled the oxy sensors from the loom. I haven't looked underneath to see what damage has been done yet. Now it's in the garage I'll get her jacked up and get under to have a look. I might have a look over the weekend but I'm currently suffering with a flare up of my osteo arthritis in my knees and if I get down I'll struggle to get up again :)

The silver car failed it's last MOT in Feb 2022 on broken front spring, leak on power steering and headlight adjuster not functioning correctly. I did all the jobs but never bothered putting her in for a retest. I also changed the cam belt and fitted a new alternator at the same time but you could say I've just lost a bit of interest both Zeds.

I think you know about my OCD with written records, even so I'm a bit embarrassed to report that the last time I put fuel in the black zed was 24th March 2019 and for the silver car it was 22nd May 2021
