Hello all,

Well, during my Z3 ownership I said some fairly harsh things about Z4's (mostly to annoy Mozza) and stated that they were a bit like a soft Z3. I have decided that I was wrong and that Z4's are for youthful exuberant folk with a real thirst for life.

Now that is out of the way, here is my new Zed:

One owner from new, 52,000 miles. She is a little gem. Just a little roof related niggle to iron out and she is good to ready zeddy go!!!!!

Hi Pete and welcome from me near Lincoln, flying the Z4 flag. That's a good looking car, 3.0?

Tony.

oh i see, so now you own one there now ok:whistle: welcome back.
to be fair the z3 is getting old, its a constant maintenance struggle for some of them now (mines ok, along with the majority of members here, but then we are enthusiasts so there gona be ok, but quite a few wont be now) the z4 is the obvious choice, its funny how some cars if not most appear ugly at first but tend to grow on you. i like both the 3 and 4 so i can upgrade at any time without having to announce it in a thread like this=))
looking good though:thumbsup:

I can say I know what you mean, when the Z3 was launched I thought it was bloody ugly but I bought one 6 years ago and love it. Ditto with the Z4, probably more so while driving round in a Z3, but, here we go again I own a Z4 and it has grown on me very much. I love it.

Tony.

i have never disliked the z4, at first i didnt notice there were 2 models, i remember the first time i spotted a z3, it was in front of me and i thought - hey a 2 seater bmw roadster, how ace is that, didnt realise i would own one, the first of many hopefully, i too intend to move onto the 4 at some point.

Welcome back Peeeteeeee! Can't wait to chase it around Wales, or were your chasing me... It's been a while...
Yes, it has been a while. We need Jim or Bill to get their finger out of their arse and organise a cruise.
The engine feels really tight as does the suspension, this car hasn't been driven properly at all. I need to give it a damn good spanking on a cruise some time very soon.

To answer Tony's question, it is indeed a 3.0. I always liked the Z4, I took the p*** mostly because it always seemed a good source of banter.:ymdevil:

If the west Midlands is close enough, you could have a run over to Torksey in September mate. If you could eat a nice Steak pot pie.

Tony.

ps. No Bill or Mozza though, they'll be over in Europe sadly.

What....a......day!!!! I've got some really fond memories of it, taking Mozza round in my car was great fun (I think he enjoyed it). I'll need to dig out my photos. Taking your missus round in the VX a few months later was good fun too. I'm probably going to get this zed ready for a bit of track action. Eibach springs, DS2500 pads, RBF600 fluid and a smoking jacket (it is an old mans car after all!!).

Yes Pete, Bill said they can't make it but they would cruising top down guaranteed. We had a good gathering last year at my local pub. This was the first thing I've arranged and as everyone asked if I was doing it again this year, here we are. Anyway, I'm having a local cruise round some country lanes tasking in a few of the local wartime air bases then back to the White Swan for food. You will be more than welcome if you can make it. This was last years gathering.

We had cars from Scotland, Wales pretty much all over the UK and Frankie came over from the USA too. Last picture is Grumpy (Davejue) Frankie, and me.
