Ignition shorting out after sitting?

Hey guys, I left my Z3 sitting for about 4 months and apparently the window seals are bad because there was mold in the interior and a little water on the passenger seat.

Anyway, I charged the battery up, it’s reading 13.3V. Went to start the car and nothing happens at all. At first I couldn’t even get it into accessory mode, but if I sloowly move the key I can barely get it in a spot where it goes into accessory and the lights come on etc, but once I turn it past that all the lights go off (no starter motor click) and I only hear the ping from the door being open. I also tried jumping it, no difference. Checked the battery terminals etc. My assumption is that the ignition (or ignition switch?) became corroded and is not making a good connection? Is that where I should start at first? And if so, is it difficult to replace the ignition switch or could it also be cleaned?
