I was curious as to what size 16's are being used on the owners of 1.9's front and back...........Frankie
Thanks boys. I had a bad tire on the front right (passenger side here). The local Sam's club repairs flats free so they can sell you tires if you need them. The tire was leaking through the side wall at an extremely slow rate. The side wall wasn't damaged or scuffed but this is the second time I've seen this on tires. I noticedt this tire had lost air for the first time last September when I was leaving to go down to see @t-tony in Florida. I thought "Oh God, not a bad tire." But I put air in it to see how long it would last as it had 25 psi in it when I checked it before I was leaving. I put in 35 psi. I thought it might be leaking from the valve stem as I couldn't see any nail or anything in the tread. By the time I got to Maryland and got gas, the tire pressure was just as I had left it and it stayed the same all the way down to Tony's, over 1100 miles. Same thing on the way back. But when the car sat for a few weeks, It would be half flat. I could drive it to the gas station where they have free air, about 1 mile away. Anyway, I bought a Michilen on Craiglist that had about 85% tread left for $40 and brought it home and mounted it myself as I have an old used tire machine. I used to bubble balance it myself but my device broke and they do it over at Sam's for just 3 or 4 dollars with a high speed machine. When they were done, they told me that I had the wrong size tires on the front as they were 215/55/16. I think I put them on as I got a really good deal on them and they were pretty close to the required size..........................Frankie225/50/ 16 front and rear
