Identify please

Can anyone inform me what the function is of the insert, which is located adjacent to the folding roof switch, behind and between the rear of the seats and below the lock up box.It has two wires attached to it, but is not a switch. could it be a sensor, and if so for what.

You mean this one? That should be the alarm indicator lamp.

Thanks Dominik that is the item in question. I have never seen it illuminated. I am at present moving my roof switch. When I get it all reassembled I will take notice. Thanks again Chris

It would probably blink when the alarm is activated or turned on.
