So the idea although not new has gone down well to organise some kind of ID for people and their cars. The idea being some kind of non geeky badge for us and something for our cars. Car stickers is a great idea and already being done but the idea of knowing whose is whose car and just being able to walk up to someone you know from the forums or fb and say hi is a fab idea.

Doing a bit of research so any ideas or contacts appreciated.

I made some laminated delegate badges with clips for the first Zed Fest as we had about 70 people booked in to the same hotel. They had both real names for couples, and then the forum name of whoever was a member. Was really useful for partners who don't come on the forum. Quite a few people still have them I think.

Bought the laminating pouches off ebay which came with the clips, and then printed the badges off on photo paper and trimmed to size. Worked really well, although a bit labour intensive.

The other option is that Frankie has made us up a load of simple buttons/badges with the forum name on, and some which are a bit more personalised.

I like it. I'd say a business card template would do this well?
The inserts I created were pretty much business card sized. I created a basic template in Word and managed to get 10 to a sheet. As I say it was a pain and there is bound to be an easier way!

Gaz I think it should be compulsory to wear a bright orange A4 badge. Any one who refuses we will shun them like lepers ? Spell check suggested peppers [emoji13]

In that case why not hi vis jackets, then you really wouldn't have issues seeing who is there for the meet up!

If the jackets were hot pink we could support breast cancer research and survivors and would eliminate imposters at the same time. Real name on sleeve with forum name in big letters on back with avatar. I'll let HT pick for mine and wear it proudly!! JIM
