Someone in my Zed's history ripped off the top cover over the instrument panel. This broke all the plastic legs/securing points so that now I can pull the top off even with the instrument cluster in place with the screw still in. :(

The cover is not covered in leather but it should be right?
Can the single part be replaced? All diagrams I can find show this as part of a major single cover 51458399950.
Is it easy to replace this or do I have to pull out the entire dash to replace properly?

I will take a pix and upload tomorrow to better illustrate what I mean. Thanks for assistance. Cooper

The instrument binnicles were only covered in leather if you specified "extended leather" as an option when buying the car new. Most zedsdidnt have this specified new so yours wwon't necessarily have come with it. You do occasionally come across them on ebay either on their own or as part of a full dash. I bought a set a few years ago to replace on my last zed where the leather had shrunk and pulled back which is a common trait of extended leather dashes if the leather is not treated regularly.

As you say however you need the entire dash out to attach them properly so quite an evolved job I am afraid.

This is probably not what you want to do as you want to do it properly.
Dare I say 'glue it on'

I will probably just get the part and wait until I have to do a couple of jobs then do it properly. I have studied a couple of posts regarding dash removal and I am not looking forward to doing it.
That faint whining sound you can hear from the distance is me wailing. hehehe
